We Love Beetroot
Beetroot is a deliciously tasty and healthy ingredient, perfect for a wide range food options for this summer.
From starters and dips to nutritious salads, tasty juices and snacks, filling family meals, and even cakes and desserts (yes we’ve found a beetroot chocolate brownie recipe!) beetroot adds a distinctive flavour and gorgeous splash of colour, whatever the dish.
But not only is beetroot such a versatile ingredient, it’s also incredibly healthy.
Let’s take a look.
The purple vegetable is great for boosting stamina and making muscles work harder, it also contains potassium, magnesium and iron as well as vitamins A, B6 and C.
Not only this, but it’s also packed with folic acid, which is essential for normal tissue growth, as well as carbohydrates, protein, powerful antioxidants and soluble fibre.
What’s more, just three baby beetroot equal one of your recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables a day!
What’s not to love? Try a new recipe for yourself and check out our delicious beetroot, pink lady and grapefruit juice.
