Returning to the UK shores this winter is the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour - a collection of some of the most extraordinary, cutting edge and exhilarating adventure and action sports films!
So if you missed the tour last year and are looking for some adrenalin junkie inspiration, or if you’re like me and just want to be awed by the extreme adventures and beautiful backdrops of the films, the tour will be passing through the UK and Ireland from January 25 - April 13.
The Film Festival tours the globe every year, often to sold out audiences, and is produced by the Banff Centre (based in the Canadian Rockies) and sponsored by Arc’teryx Equipment - so you know you’re in for mountain/snow/extreme-loving adventure films!
A couple of the films included in the tour this year are: Crossing the Ice - two Australians set off across the ice to be the first adventurers to walk from the coastline of Antartica to the South Pole and back again, unsupported! (How do they come up with these ideas?!); and WideBoyz - a film about two British lads who adventure to the US for some off-width crack climbing (extreme rock-climbing!). Truly mad and inspiring!
