DIY Boot Camp - the plan

If you have always fancied the idea of a boot camp or dedicated training week, but have never had the money or time to dedicate to a week away, then why not join me as I kick start the new year with a DIY week of training and healthy eating?DIY Boot Camp - the plan

Starting Sunday January 6 for seven days, I will be aiming for two-three hours exercise a day and giving up cake, chocolate, caffeine etc for a healthy, but wholesome diet. I will still be going to work (with a few concessions for an extra hour off here and there) so it is going to take planning, focus and the support of family and friends to achieve this.

The aim? Simply to dedicate one week to get myself back into the routine of training, to try some new classes and to test out some new healthier recipes. I am going to ease myself in the week before with a few short runs and cycles and then the plan is that I will feel inspired at the end of the week to revitalise and plan my training plan for the following months.

Want to join in? If you want to join me, then it will be great to have some virtual buddies. I will be posting daily on sportsister.com and Facebook and it would be lovely to hear how you are all getting on. The important thing is to plan a programe that works for you - it may be that just one hour a day is all you can fit in, but that combined with healthier eating is still a brilliant start to the new year. So get planning now!
