England Netball has announced the squad to compete against reigning World Champions, Australia, in a three-match International Series starting in January.

Ranked third in the world, England will face officially the best team in the world, with the matches taking place in Bath, London and Birmingham.
The squad is made up of a combination of promising youngsters and experienced campaigners, with Pamela Cookey being named Captain and Sara Bayman as her vice-Captain. A new addition to the squad is Natalie Haythornthwaite, the Yorkshire Jets mid-courter will be hoping to win a debut cap in the Series after her promotion from the U21’s.
Head Coach Anna Mayes said: “We have a nice blend of young talent and experienced players…we are incredibly excited about challenging the world number one side over three matches on home soil.”
The England squad to face Australia in January is as follows: Pamela Cookey (C), Ama Agbeze, Sara Bayman, Sophia Candappa, Eboni Beckford-Chambers, Kadeen Corbin, Sasha Corbin, Rachel Dunn, Stacey Francis, Serena Guthrie, Joanne Harten, Natalie Haythornthwaite, Lindsay Keable, Laura Malcolm, Rachel Shaw.
