Bobsleigh: Shelley Rudman takes gold in Skeleton World Cup

British number one Bobsleigh Skeleton slider, Shelley-Marie Rudman, won gold at the World Cup Skeleton race in Winterberg, Germany this past weekend, also setting the track record for the season so far with a first run of 58.06 seconds.
Rudman is the current overall Champion (2012) and a silver medallist from the 2006 Turin Winter Games. This was her first win of the season.
Teammate Lizzy Yarnold, who placed fourth, tweeted: “Shelley was unbeatable today, great performance.” Rudman and Yarnold have won two of the first four World Cup races this season.
Rudman beat Germany’s Anja Huber and America’s former world champion Noelle Pikus-Pace, to set the track record of the season.
