Danielle Brown and Mel Clarke complete a brilliant one-two for Britain in the archery.
Defending champion Danielle Brown successfully retained her Paralympic title in the individual compound final, beating team mate Mel Clarke in a dramatic last arrow shoot off.
Clarke needed 10 for victory but the 2008 bronze medallist could only manage a seven, her worst arrow of the match, to give Brown a 6-4 win.
Russian Stepanida Artakhinova took the bronze medal behind the two British athletes who were supported by a large crowd at the Royal Artillery Barracks.
The archery continues tomorrow with the quarter finals of the women’s team event where Kate Murray, Sharon Vennard and Leigh Walmsley will be looking to follow in the footsteps of their hugely successful teammates.
