European Outdoor Film Tour comes to UK for first time

For the first time ever, the European Outdoor Film Tour, the biggest film event for the European Outdoor community, is coming to the UK.European Outdoor Film Tour comes to UK for first timeThe annual programme has for the past decade played to packed-out showrooms in Germany, Austria, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and France and this autumn the feature length programme of ten high impact, adrenaline-pumping films will be also be screened at venues across the UK.

Arriving in Manchester on the 25th of November, the tour then stops off in Glasgow on the 26th and Bristol on the 27th before finishing at the Royal Geographic Society in London on the 28th.

Ulf Michels from Moving Adventures, the team behind the tour, commented: “We’re really excited to be coming over the UK.  The Olympics has shown what a passion the British people have for sport and the UK has some of the world’s best adventure athletes.

“Each of the four venues has been chosen to show these films at their best – on the big screen with great sound quality – so you can sit back and watch them in comfort.”

The full programme and trailer is released next month but if you can’t quite wait for that, then get a taster of what’s in store with this great teaser including footage from  three of the featured films, ‘Sketchy Andy’, (high-lining), ‘Shapeshifter’ with master whitewater kayaker Ben Marr and ‘The Crossing’ featuring  duo Chris Bray and Clark Carter in their thousand mile Arctic odyssey.

From today tickets are on sale online from mountain sports specialists Ellis Brigham and from next week they’ll be available to buy in store from selected stores.

Tickets are priced at £14 or £12 if you buy them in advance.

Full details of all UK advance ticket sales and event locations can be found on the website.
