Athletics
10:30 Women’s Hammer Throw Qualification
21-year-old Sophie Hitchon competes for Team GB. Hitchon was a keen ballet dancer before she took up the hammer seriously in 2007.
11:35 Women’s 800m Round 1
British runner Lynsey Sharp competes for a place in the semi-final on Thursday. Sharp secured her London 2012 place after she won the Olympic trials in Birmingham and claimed a European Championship silver medal in Helsinki.
19:45 Women’s 1500 Semifinals
Hannah England, Lisa Dobriskey and Laura Weightman are all trying to secure a spot in the final and after all three gave impressive performances in the heats on Monday, their chances of doing so are looking good.
20:05 Women’s Long Jump Final
Britains Shara Proctor has qualified in fine form and goes into the final a real medal hope.
20:10 Men’s 200m Semifinals
Superstars Bolt and Blake compete in the semi-finals of their second event, alongside Britain’s Christian Malcolm who is also hoping for a place in the final.
20:45 Women’s 400m Hurdles Final
After Perri Shakes-Drayton lost her place (twice) and Eilidh Child failed to qualify, there are sadly no British faces in the final. Keep an eye on Natalya Antyuka from Russia though, who achieved the fastest time of the semifinals.
21:00 Women’s 200m Final
This is going to be an amazing race with Allyson Felix, Sanya Richards-Ross and Veronica Campbell-Brown all battling it out for the gold medal. Sadly, british athletes Margaret Adeoye and Abu Oyepitan failed to qualif.
19:15 Men’s 110m Hurdles Semifinals
Following the heats, Team GB’s Lawrence Clarke and Andrew Turner qualified. Sadly Britain’s other hope Andrew Pozzi failed to complete the race in Round 1 because of a hamstring injury. The final follows at 21:15.
Boxing
13:45 Women’s Fly (51kg) Semifinals
Nicola Adams battles it out with Chungneijang Mery Kom Hmangte of India for a place in the final. It’s good news for Adams even if she loses though, as she’s currently guaranteed at least bronze, whatever the outcome.
Canoe Sprint
10:44 Women’s Kayak Four (K4) 500m Finals
Jessica Walker, Rachel Cawthorne, Angela Hannah and Louisa Sawers qualified 4th for the final on Monday. The Canoe Slalom was incredibly successful for Great Britain, can the girls help Britain achieve the same in the Sprint?
Cycling – BMX
15:00 Women’s BMX Seeding Run
Team GB’s Shanaze Reade has had to wait almost two weeks since the opening ceremony for her event. It could be a case of saving the best till last though, as Reade is a favourite for Gold.
Diving
19:00 Women’s 10m Platform Preliminary Round
Stacie Powell finished tenth in this event at Beijing but will four years further experience now help her grab a spot on the podium in London? She is joined by newcomer an ex-gymnast Monique Gladding, as they both compete for a place in the semi-final on Thursday.
Hockey
20:00 Semifinal 2
Great Britain’s women face Argentina. It’s going to be a tough match for the GB side, but they have often said they are going for gold at these Olympics so to get it they will need to beat top side Argentina.
Sailing
12:00 Women’s 470 Race 9
Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark have two races between them and the medal race on Friday, at the moment they are lying in second place so its looking good. Race 10 is scheduled to take place at 13:15.
14:35 Women’s Elliot 6m Quarterfinal 4
Annie Lush and the Macgregor sisters go head to head with Russia in the quarter final of the the Match racing event.
