Bristol Academy fought back to rescue a point after going a goal down in the first half against Everton.
Laura Del Rio had the first chance of the game after two minutes, but her shot was saved by Rachel Brown at her near post.
Everton took the lead after 9 minutes when Vixen’s keeper Siobhan Chamberlain conceded a penalty after rushing off her line, taking down Toni Duggan towards the edge of the box.
Fara Williams stepped up to send Chamberlain the wrong way and slot the ball in the bottom corner.
Bristol almost equalized soon after when Lucy Bronze fouled Laura Del Rio and made a goal-line clearance to from the free kick.
Still in search for the equaliser Brown spilled Jess Fishlock’s free kick, but Bronze managed to clear away Jemma Rose’s header.
Lucy Bronze then produced a goal-line clearance and Rachel Brown was alert to make several fine stops, while Jody Handley thought she had increased the Blues’ lead only to see her header ruled out for offside.
Bristol Academy came out the better of the two teams in the second half still in search for the equaliser.
The Vixens spent long periods of the half in the Everton half of the pitch, but couldn’t turn the pressure into goals.
The equaliser came 12 minutes from time when Spanish striker, Laura Del Rio Garcia, so instrumental at Stobart Stadium earlier in the month, drilled a superb 20-yard effort beyond Brown.
Del Rio almost got her second goal when substitute Natasha Harding provided an early cross, but could only watch her shot get blocked.
Everton’s Natasha Dowie almost stole all three points for the Toffees when she was left one on one with Chamberlain but her shot was well off target.
