Cardiff Half Marathon
Be part of the biggest road race in Wales – run the Cardiff Half Marathon.
2011’s sell-out race saw record numbers pound the pavements, with over 15,000 runners inspired to take part from all walks of life. The flat course is ideal both for first time runners and those seeking a personal best time.
It’s considered one of the best half marathons in the UK, with stunning scenery and an electric carnival atmosphere. The streets come to life with thousands of people cheering runners on - the course is flat but the crowd is anything but!
See the excitement for yourself in this rousing video featuring Connie Fisher, who ran last year’s race:
What’s more, 2012 marks the race’s tenth anniversary. Take part on this special occasion, where every finisher will receive a special commemorative medal, t-shirt and goody bag.
Over 7,500 runners have already signed up to run and places at this year’s race are expected to go in record time. Register now to secure your spot and avoid missing out.
Join in and help raise money for charity. Last year over £1,000,000 was raised for 750 good causes, including Barnardo’s, the race’s charity partner. That makes it Wales’ biggest fundraising event.
By joining team Barnardo’s, runners will get excellent support, including:
- A special training day at Cardiff International Sports Stadium
- High performance personalised running vest
- Exclusive post-race reception, with free massage
- Top training and fundraising advice
Transform vulnerable children’s lives and make your run even more special – run for team Barnardo’s.
