Have you ever wanted to be part of a major international sports event? Do you want to be closer to the action than those in the stands?
British Cycling and Birmingham City Council are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to fill the final few volunteer roles and become part of the team at the forthcoming UCI BMX World Championships that are being held 24-27 May, offering an unmissable opportunity to see the world’s best BMX racers up close and personal.
If being part of the event wasn’t reward enough, every volunteer will receive an exclusive World Championship t-shirt, free meals and other exclusive benefits. Some of the roles required start from 21 May and are not just during competition time.
They have a limited number of exciting roles still available so whether you fancy escorting elite athletes to the anti-doping area as an Anti-Doping Chaperone, assisting with the security of bikes and equipment in team areas as a Wings Checkpoint Assistant, helping competitors line up to race on the track as a Pre Staging – Race Marker or any of the other roles available, there’s plenty of opportunity for you to get involved and experience the world’s best BMX racing at the same time.
If you’d like to be a part of the team make sure you don’t miss out on the last few places by registering your interest here before 7 May.
