Britain’s number two Anne Keothavong defeated two of her countrywomen and fellow Fed Cup teammates, to qualify into the main draw of the WTA Premier event in Doha this weekend.
In the first round of the qualifying event, Keothavong eased her way through beating Laura Robson 6-1, 6-1 and followed this up with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Heather Watson in round two; their first professional contest.
In the main draw the British No.2 will face Tamira Paszek of Austria who she has faced twice before and lost to on both occasions.
