Where: Dorney Lake, Windsor

Details: The Eton Sprint Distance Triathlon takes place at the fantastic Dorney Lake which will give athletes a chance to experience one of the official venues of the 2012 Olympic Games whilst competing for a place in the ITU Age Group Sprint World Championships that is held in Auckland, New Zealand in October 2012.

openwaterswimThe qualifying race starts with a 750m open water swim in the clear, clean waters of the rowing venue, before taking to the closed, flat road circuit for a 4-lap bike course covering 20km around the lake. The final 5km run follows a 2-lap loop along the side of the rowing lake on tarmac paths.  Such an ideal course makes it the perfect venue not only for beginners and seasoned triathletes alike, but also for spectators who are able to comfortably view each lap.

The venue holds excellent facilities including plenty of showers, toilets and catering, as well as full on-site parking, giving supporters the freedom to come and go while the event is taking place.

Race details, including timings and wave structure, will be emailed out to all entrants at least two weeks before the race and you will also be able to see them on the website.

In order to qualify to represent Great Britain at the World Championships, you must be a member of a Home Nations Association (Triathlon England, Welsh Triathlon, Triathlon Scotland) and currently hold a valid race licence.
