Sportsisters shall go to the (British Olympic) Ball!

September 29, 2011

Fancy spending an evening in the company of Olympic champions, Team GB medal contenders and celebrated stars from the world of sport and entertainment?

BTBritishOlympicBallWell, you can – and for free, too! The British Olympic Ball is the ultimate pre-Olympic party and there’s two tickets up for grabs – all you have to do is sign up for the Gold Challenge by midday this Friday (30th). You’ll then be put into a ballot and the winner will be announced Friday evening, simple!

But what is the Gold Challenge we hear you ask? Well, if you haven’t signed up yet, why not! The Gold Challenge is a unique new charity challenge where your target is to complete 30, 20, 10 or five Olympic and Paralympic sports by the end of 2012. Read Sportsister’s full report on The Gold Challenge here, or head straight to www.goldchallenge.org to register.

The British Olympic Ball takes place exactly 42 weeks before the London 2012 Opening Ceremony (that’s next week!) and this year’s event is to be hosted by Stephen Fry, Miranda Hart and Rory Brenner, with entertainment from Tom Jones, Tinchy Stryder and Dappy.

Set to be bigger and better than ever before, the Grand Hall, Kensington Olympia, is the venue of choice for this year’s Ball. The new venue will provide space for an additional 700 guests and allow the music and entertainment offering to be the greatest yet.

Last year’s event was attended by 1,100 guests including over 60 British Olympic medalists such as British Olympic legends Steve Redgrave and Matt Pinsent and current icons Amy Williams and Jessica Ennis.

Sign up now for a chance to be on this year’s guest list!
