Details: With its historical and scenic surroundings The International Jerusalem Marathon is set to be one of the finest and diverse marathon courses in the world.
Runners from across the globe are expected to attend the marathon which lets athletes track a selected course to narrate the story of Jerusalem in the course of 3000 years of the city’s history.
With breathtaking views, the marathon offers three running tracks of different durations, allowing runners of different strengths to compete.
Over 10,000 runners are expected to compete - registrants from abroad can expect to experience tours of Jerusalem and a carbo-loaded pasta dinner the night before the race.
All runners will begin from a spot between the national government complex and the Israel Museum, follow a route through the city’s downtown and along the walls of the Old City.
With top Israeli international airline EL AL as the official carrier for the marathon, the event will present the best of Israel to the international sporting scene.
