PSP Southampton Boat Show

Details: This year’s UK’s leading outdoor boat show, on the stunning south coast, hosts an array of activities for families and exciting new attractions. The attractions aim to provide a ‘taster’ of activities for children and adults.

Activities to test out include:

TRY A BOAT – The Show’s signature event which is returns for 2011 in association with onthewater.co.uk. This attraction allows visitors to test the boat of their choice; from RIB’s to powerboats and sailing yachts there is something for everyone. For the first time, you can book these thrilling boat-rides in advance, choosing from three amazing powerboats: the XS600 RIB, Ribcraft 8M RIB, and Rodman 800 powerboat, but there will be several others ranging from power and sail boats to book on the day.

GET AFLOAT – An event aimed at getting children involved. The Rockley Watersports staff will treat 8 – 16 year olds to a free 90 minute dinghy sailing lesson at the Versadock pontoon, complete with all equipment, right at the heart of the Show.

TRY A DIVE – Try-a-Dive gives visitors of all ages the chance to get in the water and experience the world of scuba diving! Run by Andark Diving, this event introduces the exciting sport to children and adults alike in a purpose-built tank. With fully qualified instructors on hand and all the kit supplied, all you need do is turn up and sign up for free!

GET ACTIVE WITH ACTIVE NATION – the Southampton based charity, Active Nation will be adding something new and interactive for all Show visitors. Active Nation and the “Active Zone” in the Arena area of the Show, is an opportunity for visitors to have a go at a range of different activities to keep fit and healthy. The Climbing Wall allows visitors of all ages to try climbing in a safe and ideal environment within the Show on the special rotating climbing wall. Families also have the chance to head over to The Rolling Pool which offers miniature boat racing competitions and the opportunity to try out paddling skills in an inflatable kayak.

Two kids go free with every paying adult and adult tickets can be purchased in advance of the Show from just £16*. For those in search of an extra special day out, the Platinum Experience includes a luxury powerboat experience and access to the exclusive VIP lounge plus lunch and refreshments from just £105.
