Tennis: allplay Tennis Campaign Encourages More People to Play Tennis
Former British number one, Greg Rusedski, Olympic champion, Denise Lewis and TV Presenter Tim Lovejoy joined forces yesterday to launch allplay - a national campaign to help more people play tennis.
allplay, is designed to make it easy for people to find a playing partner, a local court or coach, by signing up to www.allplaytennis.com, was unveiled at Bishops Park in west London.
Greg Rusedski said of the campaign: “I’m backing allplay because it will help people of all abilities play more tennis, from those who have never held a racket, to players looking to get back into the sport and people who have been playing the game for years.”
The campaign was created by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and is designed to provide places for people to play and also tennis coaches for those who want it. They have a simple goal and that is to enable more people to play tennis. They aim to promote the sport and get as many people involved as possible.
Olympic heptathlon champion, Denise Lewis and TV Presenter Tim Lovejoy are taking up tennis for the first time as part of an allplay challenge which will also feature broadcaster Richard Bacon and TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.

Denise Lewis cannot wait to begin her allplay challenge, “Tennis is a great sport to watch and I’m sure that it will be even more fun to play, especially with the family.
