Anarchy in the UK
When: April 9-10, 2011
Where: ExCeL London, Royal Victoria Dock, London
Details: London is about to host roller derby’s first ever WFTDA-sanctioned international tournament on home soil (well, sports track). All-star teams from Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Montreal will be descending in early April to fight for a ranking that will get them into the Eastern region tournament of the World Championships.
There will be six games over two days, with everything else roller derby fans have come to expect from the bouts: DJs, raffles, afterparties, food, drink, merchandise stalls and lots of kick-ass action!
Roller derby is one of the fastest-growing sports for women in the UK and around the world, involving speed, strength and strategy on roller skates, and all of the teams are packed with tireless athletes.
