On March 12, the Scott Contessa Team will descend on Dalby Forest to run a series of long and short bike rides and test sessions alongside the bike hire specialists, Purple Mountain.
The Scott Contessa Team is a group of female riders of mixed ages and bike skills who compete in Mountain Bike, Road and Cyclo-Cross racing. With a focus on female-only events, the Team offer tips on riding techniques and give guidance to participants on how to tackle the tracks.
Next month will see Scott UK’s very own Southern Cyclo-Cross Champion Caroline Goward and Welsh Mountain Bike Champion Gabby Day on hand at the Dalby Forest event to give riders advice on bikes that will best suit their riding style.
At the Dalby Forest event, riding is all about fun and taking in the trails - there’s no chip timing or league tables!
With 50 miles of varied trails, from expert to beginner, Dalby Forest on the edge of the North York Moors is the home of the UCI World Cup XC Race and a known destination for keen riders.
Purple Mountain, the bike hire centre, is based here and their knowledgeable female guides will be on hand to take you round the trails without the worry of getting lost! On the day, you’ll also get the chance to try out the latest 2011 range of hardtail and full suspension Scott Mountain bikes.
