NIKE has announced its global rollout of the “Free Yourself” campaign in 32 countries, inspiring athletes of all levels, sports and ages to get fit.
The center piece of the campaign is the Nike Free TV short film “Throwdown”, a 90-second montage of insane sports movements of various athletes challenging themselves and others on the court, the field, the track, in the ocean, the gym, and even on the street.
One thing the athletes all share is the determination to encourage high levels of creativity and difficulty in each of their moves before daring the next person to go one step further.
“This campaign is about celebrating athletes of all ages in different sports and activities challenging each other to train harder and push their physical limits,” said Davide Grasso, Vice President of Global Brand Marketing for Nike.
“Now is the perfect time to put a spotlight on our successful Nike Free product, helping inspire consumers to get stronger and faster by working out.”

The addictive soundtrack is “Nobody But Me,” a remake of the Isley Brothers song, performed by Human Beinz. The women’s specific 30-second spot features the same tune as remade by the all girls band The Launderettes.
Nike Free footwear was introduced in 2004. This proven technology was borne from Nike’s heritage of innovative design and now spans multiple sport categories. The lightweight and flexible design of Nike Free footwear combines natural motion with technology to support athlete performance. The campaign features the new Spring and Summer Nike Free products for women’s training, men’s training and running, alongside a cross-category selection of apparel.
