Women on Wheels
When: 20 February, 2011.
Where: Mabie Forest near Dumfries, Scotland
Details: Hot on the heels of its debut earlier this year, budding female cyclists can get a second bite of the Women on Wheels cherry in February.
The taster sessions are designed to give participants a ‘safe and welcoming environment’ in which they can be introduced to off-road cycling.
The sessions will be led by experienced female cycling instructors and there are ‘strictly no men allowed’ on site.
The Mabie Forest session is priced at £15 including bike hire and £5 for those who provide their own bike.
The ‘Women on Wheels’ project is organised by the Dumfries and Galloway Council, the Forestry Commission Scotland, Scottish Cycling and the British Heart Foundation.
