Nominations open for British Asian Sports Awards

December 1, 2010

Nominations for the 10th annual British Asian Sports Awards – the biggest night in the Asian sporting calendar, are now open.  Held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, the event will mark a decade of sporting success with some of the biggest names in the industry coming together to honour a new generation of sporting stars.

BASABASA prides itself on recognising and celebrating the achievements of British Asian sporting talents from across the UK as well as raising the profile of amateur and semi-professional Asian athletes and nurturing that talent even further.

Brand Ambassador and multi-BASA award winning boxer, Amir Khan, commented: “The fact that the awards will celebrate a decade is indicative of the great progress that the Asian community has made in encouraging young people to become more active and take up sport as a serious profession.  It’s so important to provide a sense of achievement and a platform for the next generation of sports stars, so that we can continue to create more inspirational role models, male and female, across every sport.”
