London Duathlon
When: 11 September 2024
Where: Richmond Park, London
Details: Held annually in Richmond Park since 2005, the world’s largest duathlon attracts over 3,000 participants. The 2011 event is to partner Macmillan Cancer Support and will feature Challenge and Fun distances as well as the new Ultra distance race.
Participants are invited to compete individually or as part of a team and is designed to offer the broadest appeal to all athletes. Team Macmillan is supported by Iwan Thomas MBE, former 400m European Champion, Commonwealth Champion, World Cup winner and current British Record Holder.
Thomas said: “Taking part in the 2011 London Duathlon is a great way to support Macmillan Cancer Support. Run and cycle in stunning Richmond Park is a fantastic way to spend the weekend and will really make a difference to people living with cancer in the UK. Join today.”
Race details:
Kids event:
3-4 yr olds: 200m run - 200m bike - 200m run
5-6 yr olds: 200m run - 400m bike - 200m run
7-8 yr olds: 400m run - 800m bike - 200m run
9-10 yr olds: 400m run - 1200m bike - 400m run
11-14 yr olds: 800m run - 1200m bike - 400m run
Individual/Relay:
Fun 25k: 5km run - 10km bike - 5km run
Challenge 35k: 10km run - 20km bike - 5km run
Ultra 110k: 20km run - 80km bike - 10km run
