Details: Absolute Coaching are putting on two coaching sessions to guide you through keeping yourself safe on a bike and ways to improve your running.
The first session will focus on safety whilst also becoming faster and more efficient on your bike. The session takes place on the purpose built, traffic free cycle track, the brainchild of former Olympic silver medallist, Harry Reynolds, who is a member of Solihull Cycling Club.
The session will cover:
The correct techniques of cornering, including positioning on the bike, where to look and what line to take.
Group riding - working as a team to increase efficiency and learning to anticipate the moves of your fellow riders.
Cycling etiquette: What’s acceptable and what’s not
Essential tops for winter road safety and winter bike maintenance
Speed work: Individual and in a group to apply and practice the techniques.
The second session runs for an hour and a half and takes place on the 400m synthetic track at Tudor Grange. It will help you with practical tips to improve you running including:
Key techniques you should be following
Essesnital performance drills
Tips for winter training
A pace control session will also be included to enable you to understand what is the most effective pace for you to run at.
