Details: The Budapest Half Marathon returns once again and judging on this year’s success, it is going to be another spectucular event. This year’s half marathon brought a record number of participants. More than 6100 runners ran the half marathon as well as 900 runners on the relay and 3500 participants on the 3.5km fun run.
Besides the Hungarian runners, there were 1200 participants from more than 52 countries, from as far away as New Zealand, Mexico and South Africa.
The course starts and finishes in City Park and takes its runners past the iconic landmarks of the opera house, Chain bridge and the Parliamentary buildings and along the beautiful Danube river.
