When: 7 – 16 January 2025
Where: ExCel London
Details: The Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show, returns to the ExCel London and is packed full of exciting new attractions. Throughout the 10 day event, hundreds of exhibitors will showcase the marine industry’s finest products, services and equipment as well as roughly 1000 boats ranging from kayaks and dinghies to sail boats and motor yachts which you can climb aboard, explore and trial.
Whether you are a experienced sailor or still finding your sea legs, the show is guaranteed to be a hit. New features for 2011 include:
Used boats: Up to 70 used boats of all shapes and sizes will be on sale, with something to suit every budget.
Watersports: A dedicated watersports zone packed full of products, equipment, training and services is available this year. Especially exciting is the brand new Watersports Action Pool. Visitors can try a diverse range of activities such as stand-up paddle bparding, wakeboarding, windsurfing, dinghy sailing, canoeing, kayaking and model yacht racing. The pool will combine ‘Try It’ sessions and live demos by watersports experts such as John Hibbard, indoor windsurfing World Champion.
A new crew: An impressive line up including Olympic medallist, Mark Ovell, and power boat racer, Shelly Jory-Leigh, amongst others, will be on hand to answer question, dish out advice and offer a glimpse inside their exciting, watery lives.
Cruising Chute: Demos on how to hoist, gybe and lower a cruising chute in easy to follow stages, to get a lot more fun out of light wind sailing.
Model Boat Pool: Get competitive racing friends and family – these boats may be small but that doesn’t stop the competition!
Following last year’s popularity, brushboarding is back (a cross between snowboarding and surfing on dry land, in case you didn’t know!) as well as demos on the art of restoration and maintenance of traditional boats.
Tickets can be bought online or via the ticket hotline on 08712307140 and visitors on the final four days can enjoy two shows for the price of one.
