Hockey: Photography exhibition of last season’s hockey action

England Hockey Board’s photographer, Ady Kerry, is holding an exhibition as the Horsebridge Gallery, Whitstable, which features images taken during the past hockey season, from the youth festival to the Women’s Champions Trophy in Nottingham. The images form part of a show with four other photographers, which journeys from hockey to the frontline and the defence of the Falkland Islands.

Kerry says “Photography is an under exhibited art form and with fewer places within the media who cover minority sports, so you are left to do it yourself. This exhibition showcases the work we do on a daily basis as part of our profession.

“Equally it serves to encourage the next generatiion to become professional photographers or the amateur to strive to take better pictures as digital photography has seen a renaissance in picture taking by the general public.”
