Details: If the weather is anything to go by, (in my neck of the woods anyway), winter is definitely on its way. So lets not dwell on the wind and rain and think about something far more fun – snow!
The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempsted celebrates the new season with the Winter Launch Weekend. If you’re after some new winter gear, skis or want to know where to find the perfect piste, then this weekend could be just the ticket.
You can take lessons on the indoor slope, available for all abilities and all costing £15 or less. Whether you’re an experience skier or looking to take your first steps on the snow, take a lesson with one of the instructors and remember just how fun life on the slopes is.
The demo team from Snow and Rock will be on hand to answer questions and you can have a go on the latest equipment, ideal if you’re looking to update your winter kit bag. Columbia Clothing will have a selection of their new range on show and several reps from TUI will be on site to answer any winter holiday questions you may have.
With every pass, you will receive a 25% discount voucher for your food bill in The Edge as well as a 10% discount on your next Single Group lesson or Recreational Lift pass if booked and taken before the 31st October. If you book an extra lesson or pass during the weekend on the day itself, you will receive a further 10% off, giving a total discount of 20%.
As if this wasn’t good enough, you will also be treated to a sighting of the elusive snow leopard. Well, not a real one, Ghana’s first Olypic skier, Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong, nicknamed ‘the snow leopard’ will bring the Olympic torch. So if you’re craving some fun of the fluffy, white variety, this weekend is sure to fit the bill.
