When: December 25
Where: Hyde Park Lake, London
Details: If you fancy watching something a little quirkier this Christmas Day why not head down to the Hyde Park Lake to watch hardy members of the Serpentine Swimming Club London battle it out in the Peter Pan Cup Swimming Race.
With temperatures close to zero, it’s just as well the swimmers braving the icy waters have the incentive of the Peter Pan Cup to compete for – this 100 yard Peter Pan Cup Swimming Race dates from 1904 when J.M. Barrie, author of “Peter Pan” presented the cup to the winner.
Entrants are welcome too, just pre-register yourself with the club in advance if you’re brave enough!
