Team GB continued to put themselves in good position for a shot at a medal on the tenth day of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games.
As the windsurfing competition rounds out its final days, Jade Rogers is one of Team GB’s best hopes for a medal. She is currently ranked eleventh overall with one more day of competition remaining. On the men’s side of the event, Kieran Martin finished fourth and sixth in races nin and ten to keep him safely in third place overall.
The table tennis event saw Alice Loveridge of Guernsey team up with Italy’s Leonardo Mutti for the mixed doubles competition. The duo gelled for one win but then lost two of their group games. They will compete for their final ranking tomorrow, with seventeenth overall being their best possible finish.

With many of the competitions winding down or completed, many Team GB athletes had a chance to participate in the Culture and Education Programme activities. The track and field squad made a trip to the Island Adventure. The opportunity allowed members of Team GB to make the most of their experience of the first ever Youth Olympic Games by participating alongside athletes from the 204 participating nations in teamwork and outward bound activities.
Fergus Bisset, Team GB’s Young Ambassador for the Youth Olympic Games said: “The team had a great day today on the Island Adventure, rock climbing in the morning with athletes from other nations followed by raft building in teams in the afternoon with athlete role model Wilson Kipketer. This has given them a great opportunity to increase their understanding of other nations and cultures that are part of the Olympic Movement.”
