Sarah Milne, Team GB’s lone badminton player continued her one hundred percent record by overpowering Austria’s Alexandra Mathis 21-11, 21-20. After her victory, which means she progresses onto face a Dutch opponent in the quarter finals on Tuesday.
Milne said: “It’s great to be through but I am not going to look too far ahead or concentrate on who I am playing in the next round. It doesn’t matter who I am playing really, I need to make sure I am playing my best and then hopefully I can get myself to where I want to be and that is challenging for medals.”
