When: April 10, 2024
Where: Brighton
Details: Following last year’s success, the Brighton Marathon is back for its second year. The course is favoured for its general fast pace, although a few slight hills challenge runners in the first half. The second half is a breeze, taking place either on flat surfaces or downhill.
The race begins in Preston Park before heading into the city centre and then offering runners stunning views of the South Downs and the English Channel. The entire route is free of traffic.
The Brighton Marathon is the final run for participants in Rise’s three-race Charity Challenge. Runners who take up the challenge will be given professional motivational and training support in return for raising funds for Rise, the Sussex refuge and domestic abuse charity. The money will go towards furthering Rise’s services which include crisis accommodation, a helpline, counselling, support groups, legal and housing advice and children’s services.
