In 2008, the GB Cycling Team brought home 34 medals from the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, which provoked a new wave of interest in the sport, with London 2012 just around the corner.

Grant White, British Cycling’s Olympic Coach for BMX, is confident of GB’s success:

“The training has gone really well for the guys and they’re both in the best shape I’ve seen them in. Now it’s time to go to South Africa and for them to perform at the level which they’re capable of.”

The tournament will take place in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa from July 29- August 1.
