When: 13-14 August 2010
Where: Crystal Palace, London, UK
Details: There will be two thrilling days of world-class athletics and a real party atmosphere as the Diamond League comes to town for the Aviva London Grand Prix on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August. With its two day format the Aviva London Grand Prix, in August, comprises of more IAAF Diamond League disciplines than any other event on the world circuit.
Last year’s sell-out success saw Usain Bolt smash the 100m field with the only sub-ten time, while America’s Carmelita Jeter and Allyson Felix ran in the women’s sprint the following day. In the women’s pole vault Kate Dennison continued her successful season with another national record while Anna Rogowska beat Yelena Isinbeya, which unknowingly to athletics fans at that point in time was a preview of the shock result the Polish vaulter would instil on the Russian at the World Championships later in the summer.
American 100m record holder and 2007 triple World champion Tyson Gay has already confirmed his attendance for this year.
