British Olympic 400m hurdles bronze medallist Tasha Danvers has confirmed Super8 2010 will form a key part of her track campaign this summer.
The Super8 competition pits teams of athletes from 8 UK cities against each other in two-hours of thrilling athletics. This year’s event will be held at Glasgow’s newly refurbished Scotstoun stadium on Wednesday 7th July and teams from London, Glasgow, Gateshead, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff and Plymouth and signed up to take part.
Danvers captained London South to the team title in 2009 and will return as London’s skipper. Putting injuries of last year behind her, Danvers is delighted to be able to compete in front of a British crowd again.

“After a good spell of warm weather training in San Diego, California, I am ready to get out there and race again, Super8 is a great concept and I hope the people of Glasgow give us their full support!” she said.
“I’m also so proud to be given the opportunity to captain the London team once again - As London South captain we took the title last year and now I have both sides of the city to call upon for my team.”
