Duathlon: Great Britain secure silver and bronze at ETU Duathlon European Championships
Katie Ingram and Kat Grimmet have both taken home medals from the the 2010 Nancy ETU Duathlon European Championships in France as they finished in second and third place respectively.
Both ladies from team GB found themselves in a leading pack of three after building up a minute and a half lead after the bike leg. After a sprint finish for the line, Ingram managed to nudge ahead of her team mate to take silver.
It was a fantastic result for 24-year-old Ingram considering she only took up the event six months ago; making her international debut two weeks ago at the Monterrey ITU Triathlon World Cup in Mexico. The former mountain runner was identified through the trigold talent initiative and has been training at the British Triathlon’s Performance Centre in Loughborough. She is now training full time as a triathlete.

Kat Grimmet bounced back from her disappointment at last year’s World Championships - where she was knocked off her bike in the closing moments - and performed well to take the bronze.
There was also success for Great Britain in the under 23 event as Lois Rosindale finished with a bronze medal.
