Modern Pentathlete Katy Livingstone, 26, will return to World Cup action today in Cairo. The Beijing 2008 Olympian, who currently stands 27th in the world rankings, will be hoping to emulate her previous performance in the city where she won her first World Cup event two years ago.
She will be joined in Egypt by the rest of the British team which includes Mhairi Spence, teenager Freyja Prentice, ranked 16th and 23rd in the world respectively, and Katy Burke. Heats begin today with all participants bidding for a place in Saturday’s final.

In the men’s competition David Atkinson, Russell North and Steven Mason join the British team along with Olympian Nick Woodbridge who finished 21st at the first World Cup event in Mexico a fortnight ago.
After this week the action moves to the UK from 8-11 April when Medway hosts round three of the 2010 World Cup.
