How do you fancy a day at the European Gymnastics Championships? If you’re an avid gymnastics fanatic then this is just the competition for you. With the likes of Beth Tweddle, Becky Downie, Louis Smith and Daniel Keatings in attendance, you could be there rubbing shoulders with the stars of British Gymnastics.

The European Gymnastic Championships are one of the most prestigious gymnastics events in the acrobatics calendar and are being held in Britain two years prior to the London Olympic Games.

With over 800 participants competing from 40 different countries, the event which starts on the 21^st of April running till the 2^nd May 2010 promises to be an exciting 11 days.

Europe’s finest will be chalking up and raring to go in Birmingham´s National Indoor Arena (NIA) ready to compete in one of the highlights of the European circuit, giving spectators and competitors alike, a taste of what is to come in 2012.

The gymnasts will compete in teams and individual competitions for both male and female contestants.

The Championship also includes youth tournaments which will act as qualifying for the first Youth Olympics.

The event starts with the male youths on the 21^st April till the 25^th.

The female stars start after that from the 28^th April until the 2^nd of May.
