Women only triathlon camp for beginners

When: Sunday 14th February 2010 1pm – 6pm

Where: Southglade Leisure Centre, Nottingham

Details: Nottingham based Absolute Triathlon Coaching, will be holding a women only triathlon workshop aimed at complete beginners. The workshop will be led by Level 3 Triathlon Coach Steve Lloyd and will provide guidance and advice for women interested in trying triathlon.

The short course will feature both practical and classroom elements covering all 3 disciplines, plus transition practice and is open to any novice female over the age of 15. Although the workshop is primarily geared for beginners, anyone that has done an event previously could also benefit from attending.

Steve will be assisted on the day by bike expert and Tri Coach Mick Green plus ASA swim teachers Sarah Cleaton and Kate Long who will be on hand to work on swim technique and stroke development during the swim session.

The day will finish with a question and answer session as well as guidance on training, races and race preparation.

Participants are required to bring any working bike, helmet, trainers, clothing suitable for biking and running, swim kit, snacks and bottle.

Absolute Triathlon already hold a monthly women only bike session as part of their club and the workshop is a natural progression to encourage more females into the sport and anyone can come along.
