Finally it seems that snowboarders in Europe are catching up with the rest of the world in realising that wearing a helmet when snowboarding is the smart choice. And any reservations about not looking cool should be firmly put to bed thanks to the Pure helmet from Burton.
Aside from looking great, this women specific design is a fantastic fit offers great ventilation and is packed with gadget friendly features including being Redphone (Burton’s own line of headphones) compatible - that will impress even the savviest of snowboarder!
Jansport duffel pack 50cm
Colours: Shell tan dark side plaid, New chocolate chip pattern dots, White/black pizzazz plaid, Black and Deep Navy
Price: £26.99
Stockists: www.jansport.com
This duffel is a great size for either overnight trips or weekends away. Handily the carry handles can be converted into backpack straps to make it easier to carry when full. It comes in some really fun, funky prints for younger shoppers, but if you are after a more classic look opt you can opt for the black or deep navy. Jansport has been making quality bags since 1967 and you can rely on them to make a bag that’s both functional and hard wearing but really versatile too.
Montane Featherlite Velo Jacket
Price: £40.00
Stockists: www.montane.co.uk
Don’t let the wet weather put you off your daily commute. While Montane’s Featherlite Velo jacket won’t keep you dry for hours in the rain it will protect you from showers and shorter downpours. As it packs up to the size of an apple and weighs no more than a bike inner tube it’s one to keep with you as back up for the unpredictable British weather.
It’s been specifically designed for being on the bike so the sleeves are pre-bent with extra length it has an extended drop tail. Comes in a bright red, a berry shade and a high visibility fluro yellow; which will be the smart choice for cycle commuters at this time of year.
The North Face hooded fleece
Prices: Beech Fleece £65, Land of Outlines Hoody £55, Locust Fleece High Neck £60
You can always rely on The North Face for good hoodies, and this season’s range is no exception. As the cooler temperatures arrive and the rain sets in outside I am loving the thought of wearing these cosy hooded sweats and fleeces. My favourite is the Beech fleece (pictured above left) with asymmetrical zip, colour contrast trims and all over graphic mountain print but I also love the Locust Fleece High Neck (pictured above right) and the Land Of Outlines Pullover (pictured above centre).
ENGO Blister Prevention Patches
Price: £4.84 for a pack of two
Stockists: www.goengo.co.uk
ENGO Blister Prevention Patches are different from existing blister care products because they prevent the blister from forming in the first place. They work by dramatically reducing the friction between foot and footwear and are applied directly to the footwear or insole. They can even be applied mid-run or hike if you feel a ‘hot spot’ forming, which makes them perfect for anyone training for longer distances.
