Hockey – England Under 21 Squad announced
The England Under 21 women’s hockey squad for the Easter fixtures against Spain has been announced.
The 18-strong squad includes eight players who won Gold as Great Britain Youth (U21) at the recent Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney.
Ahead of the matches, coach Craig Parnham said, “These games against Spain are the first in the build up to the Junior World Cup in August and they will prove a good opportunity for us to view a number of new players in the group.
“Several of the GB youth team are in the squad and will give us some of the necessary experience needed at this level.”
The three matches, which will take place at the Highfields Hockey Centre in Nottingham, are running alongside the Under 16 and Under 18 Invitational Tournaments. Entry for spectators is free.
