Basketball: GB remain in contention after beating Bosnia
The Great Britain Basketball team have beaten Bosnia 77-61, a great result gained after a difficult 24 hours of traveling to the game. This win gives them with a much-needed chance of remaining in Division A.
The first half saw the score fluctuate consistently but a 12-0 run across the third and fourth quarters was eventually enough to steer Britain to victory, with the visitors even leading by 20 midway through the final period.
“We struggled to get ourselves down a bit in the first half after some tough traveling but we still managed to get different people in the game,” said head coach Mark Clark.
“We had a good second half. Obviously we knew we had two really difficult games left so the more rotation we could do the better and positive contributions from everyone was always going to help.”
Great Britain need to win against Romania on Monday to assure themselves Division A status.
