BUCS – conference for people involved in higher education sport

May 2, 2008

The British University College Sport (BUCS) was recently set up with the aim to enhance the delivery of sports and sports intelligence that exists in Universities and colleges today.

British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) is behind the launch and has planned to launch their first conference at the University of Sussex from June 24-27.

The conference will offer delegates the opportunity to learn about emerging sports development practices, debate and network with over 300 colleagues working in higher education sport, as well as hear about the vision for the new organisation.

This year’s theme is ‘Realising Ambition’ and will focus on: Achieving Olympic Success; Sport England and HE; International Influences; Healthy Lifestyles and Inclusivity and Disability.
